Craft and deliver speeches on complex national topics. Attend weekly practices. Compete in monthly tournaments against local public high schools. Earned multiple speaker awards including a top speaker ranking. Member of First Place team three years running.

Elected by peers to represent a grade of 250 students on the Student Council Executive Board. Organized and ran student events, voiced student concerns to administration, and contributed to school-wide initiatives.

Lead school’s Arabic club. Increased membership from single digits to 70 members. Lead language workshops and cultural immersion activities with traditional food, games, and music. Promote open dialogue and study of cultural, historical, and political intersections.

One of two students selected to join the team as an underclassman. As Captain, lead team in interdisciplinary scientific challenges, including biology, chemistry, and engineering competitions. Second-place team two years running.

Competed in multiple conferences simulating U.S. legislative proceedings. Researched national policy issues, authored original bills, and presented them in committee debates. Consistently earned top marks for persuasive speaking.

Media Literacy and Current Events Club

Established club to promote critical news analysis. Lead discussions on bias across news outlets. Manage 100+ student chat for continual current event updates

Selected by faculty for a newly created position based on demonstrated mastery of course content. Assisted Dr. Mindy Furman in guiding students through the process of shaping their research for publication on the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database. Provided peer support in research design, data analysis, and use of tools such as BLAST and 4Peaks.

Lifeguard/Counselor

June-Aug 2024, 8 hrs/day

Camp David Summer Day Camp, Ocean, NJ

Supervised groups of 1st-5th graders during daily activities. Led sports and games. Ensured camper safety during swimming and recreational periods. Certified in CPR/Lifeguarding through American Red Cross.
